There have always been people able to know what is going on at a distance. Telepathy, empathy, clairvoyance, etc. are abilities that tap into the characteristics of quantum consciousness, one of which is a phenomenon known as non-locality, which Einstein called “spooky.”

In 1993, United States Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), experimented on human DNA. They placed cells in a device that measured response to a stimulus in one room and placed the donor of the cells in another. The donor was emotionally aroused and his DNA in the other room registered an emotional peak that occurred at the same time. Results from both rooms were graphed. The DNA graph was identical to the donor’s graph, and both graphs showed that the effect of the donor’s emotions on his DNA were instantaneous. The researchers incrementally increased the distance between the donor and his DNA, yet the graphs remained synchronous. Attempting to see at what distance they would discern a time discrepancy, the researchers gave up at 50 miles.* How could there possibly have been no time lag that increased with distance? This is a demonstration of our next presupposition.

Presupposition #4: Quantum consciousness has as one of its attributes non-locality. It can operate independently of normal considerations and limitations of space and time.

An experiment in Switzerland conducted on photons proved non-locality and its dependence on what quantum physicists call entanglement. Two particles in the same jar will, if hit with a laser beam, become entangled on the quantum level. Photon Two was taken seven miles from Photon One. Photon One was then stimulated to make it change its path, and both photons were observed. Since there was now no connection between the two photons and they had no discernible way to communicate, classical physics would dictate that there would be no relationship. But when the paths of the two photons were compared, they matched.

One of the predictions of quantum physics is that entangled particles continue to communicate with each other even when very far apart. So what does this mean for human consciousness?

I had been dating a man when he left to go on a road trip. One day, I had a conscious dream as I was walking in my living room, a flash of imagery, of him in an accident. I made note of the time. When he returned from his trip, he called me and told me he had been in an accident. I asked him for “temporal coordinates” (date and time) and they matched my vision of his accident.

You are entangled at the quantum level with everyone you have had any kind of relationship with. For 17 years I had a very close friend. Although we have ended the relationship on a space/time basis, I continue to know her moods and when she is thinking about me, just as I did when we still were friends. You, too, have probably had such experiences. They are common to our birthright of quantum consciousness.

Yet our consciousness does not seem to depend upon quantum entanglement. We have the ability to send our consciousness through hyperspace (what quantum physicists are calling the dimensions beyond the fourth) without previous entanglement. The experiments with remote viewing, whereby an explorer can send her consciousness to a predetermined destination and view what is happening there, show these sessions do require precise coordinates. As with a telephone, you need the number for the call to go through; there must be some way to locate the target.

This presupposition thus has two corollaries:

Corollary A: The non-local nature of quantum consciousness can take advantage of entanglement in order to function.

Corollary B: The non-local nature of quantum consciousness can operate independently of entanglement if given precise coordinates to locate the target.

In shamanism training, we learned to track along these entanglements to discover the spiritual causes of disease or dysfunction. We also learned to journey, sending our consciousness “out” to find information, always setting our target beforehand. Thus we learned practical application of both corollaries.

Learning to use my quantum consciousness was one of the most fulfilling and, yes, fun things I have ever done. The sheer joy of expansion into these realms has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever experienced.

        See you out there.

    * Isn’t it astonishing that the emotions of the donor could affect his disconnected cells? In the seventh essay in this series, I will go into this point and another experiment on the subject in demonstration of a different presupposition.
