Presupposition #2: The multi-dimensional Universe is conscious, as is everything it contains. This consciousness manifests differently in each different dimensional realm.

    Imagine my surprise when I was in Athens, walking through a park across from the palace. I had looked to my left at the palace guards in traditional dress. Looking forward again, I spotted an oak tree right in front of me that was ancient and gorgeous. I exclaimed to my companion, “What a beautiful tree!” and the tree replied, in my head, “Thank you.”

    Well, I was stunned. I mean, I talk TO my plants, but one had never talked back to me. And this tree and I hadn’t even been introduced! Since this encounter, I have discovered communication is possible with just about anything. Did you know that our sun is a sentient being?

    Of course, you have to open up your consciousness to receive such communication. This takes courage because it really can shake up your worldview of solidity and cause/effect, linear logic, linear time, etc. You know that, at the very least, other people will think you are crazy. Do keep in mind that almost everyone has had such outside-space/time experiences; they just won’t freely admit it. The only thing that is crazy here is the suppression of a natural ability and the vicious, spirit-killing hold that we allow our space/time beliefs to have over us.

    Within space/time, communication can be very solid: body postures, fists, bombs, snarls, telephones. Everything is seen as a discrete unit separate from everything else.

    Moving to outer dimensions, in the realm of thoughts and emotions, communication becomes symbolic and metaphoric. We also have here manifestations of psychic phenomenon, such as thinking about a friend just before she calls; or dreaming about a loved one’s visit on the eve of his death.

    Our verbal communication is a form that exists in space/time as well as beyond it. Our mouths and larynxes make sound which is transmitted through the air and hits eardrums. But this is meaningless unless there is an understanding of the symbolic meaning of the words and  the mental ability to form an understanding of these sound vibrations. This ability to formulate and understand word symbols exists outside of space/time.

    We need to learn more about this realm because it is here we learn that everything is connected. There are filaments that bind us to other people, life forms, ideas and beliefs; these filaments exist outside of space/time. There are energy fields that exist within and beyond space time called subtle energies that we can learn to work with for healing and manifestation, as well as communication at a higher level.

    The realm of thought and emotion does not know only the linear time of the space/time continuum because time has also become circular and synchronous. Whereas in space/time everything is as it appears, in this realm of pure thought and emotion, nothing is only as it appears.

    You are very familiar with this realm; you navigate it in consciousness every day. Get comfortable with the idea that it is on a quantum level, the beginnings of quantum consciousness.

    One very easy way to learn more is to get trained in Reiki or chi kung. You will learn to gather and harness the subtle energies of this realm and control them. Anyone can do this, even kids. As I have said, it is your birthright. Once you experience the joy of intentionally channeling the energy, you may feel encouraged to move along further in your explorations of consciousness.

    In later essays, I will write about how Universal consciousness manifests in other outer dimensions. Beyond thought, emotion and verbiage, it gets even more rich and interesting.
